Kawasaki Heavy Industries might be most famous around the world for its Kawasaki-branded motorcycles, but the company has produced far more engineering marvels than you might be aware of. The Kawasaki Good Times museum is a corporate museum that displays the various products that Kawasaki has made over time, as well as background information about the company’s founding and its history.
For fans of motorcycles, you can find an extensive display of Kawasaki’s motorcycles, as well as a motorcycle simulator where you can try out riding one for yourself. There’s also a display of the front carriage of the Series 0 Shinkansen (新幹線, Bullet train), the first shinkansen launched, and you can take a look at the passenger cabins as well as the driver’s compartment too. You can also find an industrial manufacturing zone where you can see how Kawasaki’s robotic arms are helping out along the factory line.
The museum itself is not very large, however, the exhibits here give an interesting look at a wide variety of engineering marvels including trains, motorcycles, ships, robotics and more. It’s also not just for kids, as adults can also appreciate the behind the scenes of how these products that are a part of our daily lives were created.
