The waters are piped straight up from the natural hot spring into the rotenburo (露天風呂, Outdoor Bath), and apart from the classic rock rotenburo pools, there are also individual pot baths, a sleeping bath, a hinoki (檜, Japanese Cypress) wood bath, sitting baths, standing baths, jacuzzi baths and more.
