One of the popular nature trails near Tokyo, this whole walking trail only spans around 1.2km. However, there is something serene about walking on wooden planks through this lush green area, along a small stream. There are even stepping stones which allow you to cross over the river.
At the end of the path, you’ll also find the Todoroki Fudōson Temple, a rather large buddhist temple, with a small shrine at the bottom near the end of the path, and a larger shrine complex at the top of the steps exiting the valley. Near the end of the path, you can also find Setsugekka, a small traditional Japanese tea house where you can enjoy some green tea and traditional red bean desserts.
