Discover Ehime Prefecture

Ehime Prefecture is famous for its mikan (蜜柑, Mandarin Orange) production, and you can find many orange-related desserts and even an orange juice tap in the prefecture. In Matsuyama, you can find Dogo Onsen, said to be the inspiration for Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away, in Imabari, you can rent a bicycle to cycle the Shimanami Kaido, Japan’s most famous cycling route, and in Iyo, you can check out the cat island Aoshima, or Shimonada Station, the closest station to the sea in Japan.
