Kunitsukien is a small hole-in-the-wall family-run yakiniku (焼肉, Japanese barbecue) joint that has been operating since the 1980s. The shop itself is simple an unpretentious with a nice homey atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and the portions are rather generous. It’s no wonder that the place is popular with locals, with many long-time patrons as well.
The meat comes raw, and you can grill them to your liking on the grill at your table. Don’t forget to get a vegetable platter, or even a kimchi appetizer if you would like. All orders are ala carte, so you need to order your rice separately and it comes in sizes of shō (小, small), chū (中, medium), and dai (大, large).
