Duration and Cost of the Bus 1-Day Pass
¥700
¥350
Valid for one calendar day on the day of first use.
It costs ¥700, and breaks-even after three bus rides (buses use a ¥230 flat fare system). It is generally easy enough to make the amount back as long as you make more than a single round-trip.
How to purchase the Bus 1-Day Pass
You can purchase the pass at:
- Kyoto City Bus & Subway Information Center (including Kyoto Station, and Karasuma-Oike Station)
- On any Kyoto City Bus (might be sold out)
- Commuter Pass Sales Booth
- Kyoto City Bus Office
- Subway Station Ticket Window (Adult Ticket Only)
We generally recommend getting it at the Kyoto City Bus & Subway Information Center or Subway Station Ticket Window where possible.
While it is possible to get it on the bus, you might experience a language barrier with the bus driver, and also end up holding up the disembarking queue of the bus.
