The Sagano Shōtengai runs from the JR Saga-Arashiyama Station all the way to the entrance of the Tenryū-ji Temple (天龍寺, Tenryū-ji).
While the Arashiyama Shōtengai runs from slightly north of the Tenryu-ji Temple (天龍寺, Tenryū-ji) entrance, all the way south to the Togetsukyo Bridge (渡月橋, Tōgetsu-kyō Bridge). Both of these shopping streets are full of souvenir shops, food stands, and many interesting crafts to be discovered.

A beautiful display located in the Arashiyama Randen Station, it consists of around 600 kimono textiles displayed in pillars that are clustered together like a “forest”. While the display itself isn’t too large, it’s still a nice place to stroll through nearby, and the displays are illuminated by lights in the evening.
