Beautiful Mountaintop Views of the Seto Inland Sea

One of the best places to get a view of the coast in Takamatsu is from the top of Mount Yashima (屋島山, Yashima-san), with the area at the top generally being called Yashima (屋島, lit. Roof Island). The Yashimaru is a stunning observatory whose architecture itself is a work of art that was part of the Setouchi Triennale in 2022. You can also find a beautiful walking path with Ubamegashi (姥目樫, Ubame oak trees) that leads up to the northern tip where you will find the Yukakutei (遊鶴亭)
