The Arashiyama Park Nakanoshima is a small park located on the island of Nakanoshima on the Katsura River (桂川, Katsura-gawa). The park itself is rather simple, but it has stone-covered riverbanks where you can get pretty close to the river and some nice shots of Togetsukyō Bridge (渡月橋, Tōgetsu-kyō Bridge) and the Katsura River. It’s just generally a nice place to stroll along and soak in the views.
There are also many cafes and dining establishments on the island, as well as even an onsen where you can soak for a bit after a long day of walking around.
