The area around Yokohama station is home to a wide variety of shops, underground malls, department stores, and more. Navigating it can sometimes feel like you're in a labyrinth, especially underground where it’s difficult to get a sense of direction. But by wandering through the different malls and shops, you’re bound to stumble upon some interesting or unique.
Walking through the above-ground district to the west of the station, you will find a lively district full of drinking establishments, electronics shops, and restaurants. The place has similar vibes to that of Shinjuku, but without the sleaze and safety concerns.
