Green Stamps Coffee looks like a typical run-of-the-mill hipster cafe with its deep blue storefront lined with glass windows and warm, wooden interior (that’s also lined with art) – it’s that, but much more! Not only do they have a great selection of beans (and non-coffee drinks) to choose from, they also sell gluten-free bakes, and second-hand vintage clothes! It’s a small place with just a few tables (but also counter seats and bench seats), but very homey.
What’s really unique about Green Stamps Coffee is the hole in its wall. Yes, it’s not just hole in the wall, it has a hole in its wall – through which you can get pizza! Beside Green Stamps Coffee is a pizzeria, Pizzeria Tonino Tsujidō, that serves amazing Neapolitan pizza with the best crispy, chewy, charred leopard-spotted crusts, and you can order pizza from them at Green Stamps Coffee to go with your coffee. For slightly above ¥1000, you can get a really great margherita – well-spiced tomato sauce, real mozzarella, and basil to round it off. The barista shouts your order next-door through the hole in the wall, though sadly, the pizza doesn’t come in through the wall. It’s a great place to stop at for lunch – chill, cosy, and a pretty toilet.
Note: While Green Stamps Coffee opens at 11, pizza is only available between 11:30am to 2:30pm, and the pizzeria is closed on Tuesdays!
