Namba is part of Osaka's Minami (みなみ, Minami) district and is bordered by Dotonbori (道頓堀, Dōtonbori) to the north. It serves as Osaka's lifestyle and entertainment hub, with plenty of malls, restaurants, and izakayas (居酒屋, Japanese pub).
At the centre of the area is Namba Station, Osaka's southern train hub with connections to Kansai International Airport and Nara.
There is also the Namba City Walk, an underground shopping mall that runs parallel to Dotonbori. To the east of the station is the Sennichimae (千日前) area, a set of criss-crossing covered shotengais (商店街, Shōtengai, Shopping Street) with plenty of shops and restaurants. Further east, you will find Kuromon Ichiba (黒門市場, Kuromon Ichiba), and further south you will find Nihonbashi Den Den Town.

Next Shikaku Osaka is a kaki (牡蠣, Oyster) broth specialty ramen (ラーメン, Rāmen) shop located near Namba (大阪, Ōsaka) and near the northern end of the Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street (千日前道具屋筋商店街, Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shotengai). Their menu consists of oyster ramen done three ways: a creamy oyster paitan version, a clear oyster chintan version, and an oyster tsukemen (つけ麺, Dipping noodles) version. One of the interesting things is that the interior consists of a digital art exhibition, similar to what you would find in teamLab exhibitions (チームラボボーダレス, Chiimu Rabo Bōdaresu), and it makes for a rather unique and memorable dining experience.
